Let the app match the card at every shop
The app tells you which of your cards to use at every shop, using your location. It’s in testing on Android now. Leave your email and we’ll tell you when it’s ready. No spam, and you can ask us to delete it any time.
We only use your email to contact you about CardMax. See our privacy policy.
Questions
I don’t know what I spend on each thing. Can I still use it?
Yes. Tap what you spend the most on and roughly how much goes on your cards each month. We split that amount across your picks (half to the first, then less for each) and show you the split, so you can change it if it looks wrong.
Do I need to sign up?
No. The picker runs in your browser and shows the full result straight away. Your answers stay on this device; nothing is sent to us or to any bank.
Why are cashback, points and miles shown separately?
They are different things. Cashback is dirhams. Points are only worth what the bank says a point is worth, and miles depend on the flights you book. Adding them into one number would mean inventing an exchange rate, so we rank each type on its own.
Are monthly caps included?
Minimum monthly spends are included: if your spending is below a card’s minimum, we use the lower rate the bank states, or leave the card out of the ranking when the bank doesn’t say. Monthly caps on what you can earn are included where the bank publishes them: once a category or the whole card reaches its cap, it earns nothing more that month. Each result still shows the card’s own conditions, so read them before you apply.
What does “not stated” mean?
The bank’s published terms don’t give a rate for that category, so we can’t count it. We don’t treat it as zero, and we don’t guess.
Does the ranking depend on who pays CardMax?
No. CardMax may earn a commission when an application is approved, but the order is only the reward your spending would earn, minus the annual fee where we can compare in dirhams.
CardMax may earn a commission if you're approved for a card. This never affects how cards are ranked.
